NEWEL POSTS

We manufacture a huge range of newel posts as, traditionally, newel posts were a larger version of the spindles in the staircase. To carry forward this tradition, all our spindle designs have a matching newel post design. See stair spindles to see all of the designs available. Another staircase tradition is to make a statement with a larger or decorated newel post at the bottom of the stairs, see our range of 'feature newels' to see what is possible to create that wow! factor.

All newel post designs are available in six main types, each for different applications, see below for full specifications and applications. Our newel posts are 90mm square as standard, however, we are happy to supply them in any size from 70mm to 150mm square. Newel posts are supplied as standard with ball finials, or clients may choose from an extensive range of finials, although there may be an extra charge for some finial designs.

NEWEL POST TYPES

The bottom newel of any staircase is often the first thing seen when entering your home. You can make a lasting impression in this area by fitting a feature newel. This could simply be a larger version of the newels used in the upper part of the staircase, or we can produce a wide range of embellishments to provide that WOW! factor.
